Sapphire Cactus

After painting the Desert Series paintings with the crisp geometric shapes, I longed to see what the similar scenes would look like on delicate, watery organic shapes. I single brushstroke each, the watery texture hints at a mountainscape and the foreground of the painting. I chose the blush and sapphire blue are two of my favorite complimentary colors (opposite on the color wheel - bringing out the best in each other).

This painting has been deeply discounted to fit into a gifting budget for the holidays.
